Review || Max Factor Creme Puff Blush

Welcome to my blog!

I thought I'd kick off with one of my favourite type of posts: a review.

I have been meaning to pick up these Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes for a while now, but it has taken me this long to bite the bullet as they come in quite pricey at £9 a piece. However, when in my local Tesco last week, these were on 2 for £12 so I decided to pick them up.

I decided to pick up the shades 'Nude Mauve' and 'Lovely Pink'. These are two beautiful colours and I thought they gave a good spectrum of the collection as they are quite different. In addition, Nude Mauve seems like a great dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in 'Mood Exposure' which retails for £32 but at a third of the price.

These blushes are available in 6 shades, ranging from light pastel pinks to a darker berry shade. On Max Factor's website, these are described as:

'Stunning multi-tonal shades designed to blend and build effortlessly, so you can achieve the perfect sweep of colour.'

I definitely agree that these blend and build effortlessly. As you can see from the swatches below, these blushes are not overly pigmented however, one of the shades 'Gorgeous Berries' looks more suited to darker complexions. I think these two shades are more suitable for pale skin tones, because even on my Porcelain complexion, I can't get a very intense look. I think this is a good thing for me though because I never look too unnatural or stripey.

Overall I really like these blushes. They're natural, buildable, soft and not powdery! They leave a lovely iridescent glow on your cheeks and a perfect for those of us with a pale complexion. I think they are a little pricey at £9 and are more worth the price when on offer. However, when you compare them to the likes of the Hourglass blushes and also because they are not full of chunky glitter like other more affordable 'illuminating' blushes.

What do you think? Have you tried these, or found something better?

Thanks for reading!

Liv.

    1. It is! Especially since most of the products in the offer are £9+! I'm loving Tesco for beauty offers at the moment :) The other week, they had a lot of the foundations reduced to £5/6 :) x
